This Friday was just as normal day as any other till
I was done with the jumma prayer. As there is no shoe rack and the people who
enter from this gate normally put there shoes beside the inner wall of the
mosque. When I was done with the jumma, I got my plastic slippers and put them
on. As soon as I put them on, i felt the extreme heat and took my foot out of the
shoes at once as a natural reaction. But this little incident made me thing at
a very deeper level. Naturally I had recalled the minimum punishment that will
be given in Hell. It is making a person wear shoes made of fire and it will be
so hot that it will make his brain boil like kettle on fire and the person will
feel as if this is the severest punishment given to any one. I started
wondering that my shoes have been left in light of sun, millions of miles away,
for just over half an hour and they are so hot. How much intense that least
punishment will be. My purpose of telling this is not to tell how I felt that
day, but to tell that the "hell" is even worst than our imagination.
We should try to do good deeds, restrain ourselves from bad ones, keep asking
for blessings from Allah and for forgiveness, and keep hoping that He will not
put us in fire. The greatest miseries of that one can face in his life on earth
are not worst than even a moment of punishment in Hell. May Allah help us
understand and follow the path of Islam.
