This is a picture that I saw a
few minutes earlier on a female news caster's Facebook page. I was amazed to
see that in a time of just one hour, the total comments were 655, likes 431 and
102 shares. And you guess the results, almost all said "yes". This
made me think about my religion, its teachings and the ideal Muslims.
I had a very mixed and confused feeling and I am going to analyze the
religious aspect of such posts.
Whether some one is good or bad,
is a very relative thing and depends on individual thinking and beliefs. In
terms of religion, we don't like someone because of the fact that he is on the
wrong path. But we are not told by Islam to hate those people, but to hate
their actions. We should try to bring people on the right track, not look for
reasons to kill someone. Regarding people like Mirza Qadiani, whether we hate
them or not, should be an individual's self discussion. The debatable things
should be the bad actions that they do. Otherwise all we are doing is making qadianis
further away form us, when in fact, we should be trying to get them on the
right path.
